Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year falls on the 23rd January this year and is a time of celebrations across China.  Various rituals and traditions are observed to celebrate what the new year will hold.  It is a time for families to get together and enjoy things such as dragon dancing, fireworks and good food.  It is also a time for cleansing to get rid of bad luck and encourage good things for the new year.

There are new and exciting things instore for me this year – more of which will be revealed as things become certain.  In the meantime I finished working at the College of Traditional Acupuncture earlier this month in preparation for when they themselves close later this year.  I have worked there for many years and will be sad to see it close, but as one door closes another opens an so it the circle of life.

Farmers Fayre Acupuncture

Emma Page Acupuncture at Farmers Fayre

Suspicions were right and I’m now working at Farmers Fayre on Stoneleigh Park.  Farmers Fayre are butchers primarily and their Farm Shop in Stoneleigh sells a wide range of local produce, preserves, cakes, cheeses and much more.  There is  also  a lovely cafe serving breakfasts, lunches and cream teas.

At present I am working there every Thursday afternoon.

Emma Page Acupuncture might be expanding again!  A colleague of mine is off to Thailand for about 6 months, and she has asked me to look after a couple of her patients while she’s away.  The result of this is that I’m going to start treating from Farmers Fayre on Stoneleigh Park.  Initially, this will just be on an adhoc basis, although I’ve had quite a bit of interest already so it looks like it could become a regular thing!  It may also be the perfect option once the College of Traditional Acupuncture closes next April.  Watch this space for more information…

July 2011

This month I’m launching a new Acupuncture Pain Clinic in Rugby.  The idea has come about as a combination of my experiences working at Solihull Hospital and wanting to make acupuncture affordable to those who need it most.

The Pain Clinic offers 20 minute appointments on a Tuesday morning at the WalkWell Clinic.  For more information, please contact either myself or the clinic directly.

New Fact Sheets!

The British Acupuncture Council are gathering a body of research detailing what acupuncture can help.  They have also created a range of downloadable fact sheets which you can access here or you contact me for information specific to you.
